On 5 May, the msmhc of Italian Delegation had an august gathering on the occasion of the visitation of Sr. Philomena Mathew, Superior General and Sr. Jane Francis, General Councilor for formation. The General Assembly was held in Don Bosco Theological Institute Crocetta, Turin.

At the start
of the Mass Sr. Marta d’ Rosrio, the Delegate Superior gave a short
introduction welcoming Mother Philomena Mathew and Sr. Jane Francis. She also
seized the occasion to thank Don Luigi Testa (Rector of the Don Bosco Theological
College who is on transfer) in a special way for his great love and assistance for
the Italian delegation spiritual and material.Sr. Grace Donnu read the scripture reading while Sr. Rani Zerard Anemm offered the various intentions of the liturgical assembly to the Lord.
During Homily, Don Luigi Testa spoke about the beauty of the call to be a Missionary. He said, “A Missionary is the one who have the capacity to offer; a self-offering, in other word self-oblation that is giving out of oneself totally as a holocaust”. As Missionary Sisters, Don Testa said we become the living symbol of our founder’s gratitude to God and Mary under the title of Help of Christians. Thus, we become a living Gospel to the people of our time, no matter where we are and what apostolate we carry out. They are significance because of our very consecration.
After the Holy Mass, the group gathered for the photo followed by sumptuous lunch. After the lunch, the assembly once again gathered for the common session by the Superior General. She stressed upon the holiness of life. She exhorted the members present to imitate our holy founder Venerable Bishop Stephen Ferrando in all circumstances. She said the Italian Delegation is the Central Nervous System of the congregation. Therefore, holiness of life should be the primary aim in all our undertakings. During the session, time was given for clarifications and interactions.
St. John Bosco says, “When a superior visit you it is Don Bosco who visit you. Therefore it is moment of grace, for it is God Himself visit you”. Indeed the benevolence presence of Mother Philomena Mathew and Sr. Jane Francis brought down God’s blessings in abundance.
